I worked at a Mario Tricoci salon shampooing hair and assisting hair stylists when I was in high school in Chicago, Illinois. I enjoyed the work and learning from my colleagues and always knew it would be something I would come back to after pursuing some of my other interests. I’ve always enjoyed hands-on work and have spent time cooking, screen printing, and running my own record label.

I finished cosmetology school in 2012 and began working at Bent Hair in Bloomington, Indiana shortly after my graduation. Working at Bent allowed me to refine the craft of barbering and short hair styling. A few years after going out on my own renting a chair at Hairstream Studio's. I bought the space, did an overhaul remodel and rebranding of the salon. Bringing my dream of Ruby's Hair Company to life. Offering a high-end service with a fun, casual, artsy environment where all people can feel comfortable and find that perfect style to express themselves.
